Ashenfelter Vineyards
To date our grapes have been made into wines by several vineyards, some wines being vineyard designated. Cedar Rose near Vineland made the first wine from our Cabernet Sauvignon Lone Oak Block (block 1) in 2017. Sold out now, the wine improves with each year. Working Dog also made a delicious wine from our block 1 fruit in 2017; it may still be available.
Cedar Rose has continued to designate and make an Ashenfelter Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon every year since 2017, except for 2018. The wines have been exceptional. The exciting 2022 should be available in 2024.
Hawk Haven, near Cape May, makes both an Ashenfelter Vineyards designated Cabernet Franc and a Petit Verdot and uses OA as the brand designation. These are fascinating wines to compare both across varietals and vintages.
Other wineries that regularly use our grapes include Unionville, Sharrott, and most recently Saddle Hill, a new and exciting property near Cherry Hill.
Amalthea Cellars made a Cabernet Sauvignon from our 2019 (block 1) fruit that promises to be exceptional, if ever released!
